Note from Joshua Pfister: Have you ever wanted to change someones life? Consider sowing a seed for the upcoming Mission to Uganda and Philippines this April and May. I’m collaborating with a great ministry in Uganda to empower young people… I have known the leader of this ministry since 1996 and have not seen anything but integrity through him. I also want you to understand that there are many new believers in Uganda, but so many of these young people lack opportunity. We are having a large youth convention, not only to teach the Bible, but also trade skills and entrepreneurial skills…. we are mentoring these young people to be leaders and changers of culture in Uganda. I’ve seen what is going on and I know any support you can give will do SO MUCH in the lives of these young people. Also, we want to help support very low income High School students so they can finish High School and be more productive in society. Another thing we are so excited about is giving Microloans to some of these young people who have committed themselves to be mentored and trained. A microloan is a small loan to start a business, typically in third-world area where traditional financing is not available; I’ve seen how so little can do so much. A microloan can be as small as enabling them to buy a few chickens, or cows so they can start a farm, or it could enable them to buy a fishing boat and gear so they could start a real fishing business. When one of these young people’s lives are changed it also changes society, because it causes these young people to become leaders in society by becoming small business owners, teachers, government leaders, artists, and more. Its fine to “give someone a fish,” but we want to “teach someone to fish” through training, mentorship, and microloans… This is how to see lasting change in society for God’s glory. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any thoughts and questions. We need $10,000 to accomplish this phase of ministry that will forever change hundreds of lives. Thank you and God bless you!
