Why is it so important to praise the LORD? Let me give just a couple thoughts on this. First of all, He is worthy. How could we neglect to give glory to the One who created us; the One from Whom every good and perfect gift flows. Second, a life style of praise creates an atmosphere of faith in our hearts. Romans 1:21 lets us know we will become futile in our thoughts and our heart will be darkened when we fail to give God the glory and thanks He deserves.
Psalm 105 Psalms 105:10-12 says, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance," When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it." · The LORD doesn’t make us promises based on our ability, but on His ability. Never go by how things look; God’s word is true. Psalms 105:18-19 talks about Joseph and the test of faith he went through; it says, “They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him.” · The promises of God will “test” our faith. God promised Joseph that he would be in a place of rulership, but along the way, he found himself in very contrary circumstances. The seed of God’s word produced in Joseph’s life, and every circumstance had to line up with the promise.
