Psalm 81
Verse 12 contains a terrible judgment; it says, “I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, to walk in their own counsels.” He continues in verse 13, "Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!” True faith is exemplified when we listen to Him. Paul talks about this same judgment in Romans chapter 1 when he says in verse 24, “Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts,” and in verse 28, “God gave them over to a debased mind.” Psalm 93 No matter what man tries to do or the judgments that come upon the earth, “The LORD on high is mightier,” and His “testimonies are very sure.” When we see destruction, we must realize his salvation is greater; when we see lack, we must realize His provision is greater; when we see sickness, we must realize His healing is greater! No matter how bad the problem, we must be able to look at it and say, “my God is greater.”
