The Centurion believed the Word was enough to bring healing and we should believe the same. He received according to his faith and so will we.
In Matthew 8:15, after Jesus healed Peters mother in law, she was able to serve them. Sickness and disease is from the enemy and often stops or hinders people from serving and fulfilling the will of God for their lives. God wants us healed because He loves us, but it also allows us serve the way we are called to. We see in Matthew 8:19-22 that there are people who would “like” to follow Jesus but don’t end up doing so for one reason or another. The fact is we cannot have two masters. Comfort can’t be our master, fear can’t be our master, money can’t be our master, or anything else. “Forsaking all” is not just for an elite few; we all must make sure we don’t have idols in our heart that keep us from wholly following the Master.
