The LORD said in Jeremiah 33:17, “David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.” When you read through the lineage in Matthew chapter 1, we see the family Jesus was born into was of the line of David and this would fulfill His word to David. When we get to chapter 3 will see God (His true Father) anoint Him as King with the Holy Spirit and proclaim, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." The Anointed One, the Son of Man, and Son of God, has received all authority in heaven and in earth (Matt 28:18).
In Luke 2 we see how Mary and Joseph had to go to Bethlehem to be registered while she was pregnant; while in Bethlehem, there was no room for them in the Inn. The circumstances didn’t seem to line up with the glorious prophecies they received from Gabriel and through the dream, but God was getting His will accomplished. If God makes you a promise, don’t predetermine in your mind that it’s going to happen your ideal way. Remain in faith; walk by faith and not by what you see.
