Jeremiah 32-34 – August 15

The LORD told Jeremiah when called him as a prophet that He had put His Word in His mouth “…to root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:10).  As surely as God’s Word would root out and destroy, God purposed to rebuild Israel and plant His people back in it. These chapters contain many promises from the LORD to bring back His people and rebuild the land. The LORD did this to a measure 70 years after their captivity and in recent times Israel has been more blessed as a nation, but the fullness of the promises will only come to pass at the return of Yahshua Ha Mashiach.

Sorry I have gotten behind, put trying to start back where we are now.
From Aug 7
Jeremiah 4:3 & 14 , "Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns…

This verse reminds me of Hosea 10:12 which I was meditating on earlier this year.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness on you.

Breaking up fallow ground in our heart is difficult but it's a continual process. If we do not break up the fallow ground in out hearts and sow righterousness there is no reason for the rain from God to come, the water would run off and do no good to produce anything. Fallow ground is dry and hard and water will run off, but if humility we break up the grounds and sow righterousness his rain will come and produce fruit.
