Under the Law, blessing came by obedience. Deuteronomy 28:1 says, "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”
It should be our aim to “diligently obey the voice of the LORD,” but there is one thing we should keep in mind: “…the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Also, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13). As we aim to do His Word let’s remember, we are blessed through Jesus Christ and faith in what He did for us. If we really have faith, our faith will have action, but it isn’t action to try to earn His approval… its action because we believe. When we truly believe in Jesus Christ, we believe His Word, and true faith will always create actions that correspond. Again, here is the key difference: we don’t do righteous actions to gain approval and blessings, but instead, we receive righteousness and blessing by faith and that faith produces righteous actions.
Sorry for writing so little on these 4 chapters. Hopefully others have more to add.
