As you read through these occurrences in 1 Kings 1-4, the saying “the truth is stranger than fiction” seems appropriate. These were some difficult times, wicked people were ruling some nations but God’s prophets (Elijah and Elisha) were not afraid to confront what God lead them to deal with.
